Ramadan is an opportunity to gain power over food
Here was my bedtime routine as a CTO of a $30M company:
ð Come home stressed
ðŠ Eat a treat (DÅ was my favorite NYC sweet)
ð€¢ Pop 3-4 anti-heartburn TUMS before heading to bed
I never considered this to be "unhealthy" just an inconvenience I had to put up with...
All the while my weight ballooned to 230 lbs and I developed knee pain, chronic fatigue, and acid reflux.
Here's the truth: everything that we get in life is what we are willing to tolerate.
I experienced daily heartburn and knee pain because that's what I tolerated.
I experienced a toxic work culture because that's what I tolerated.
I believe that the majority of "chronic" conditions are nothing more than things that we have tolerated for a long time despite them being harmful to our well-being.
This Ramadan, I'll be hosting my annual "Ramadan 365" program to help you no longer tolerate the nonsense in your life
If you think you should be healthier, wealthier, and happier but aren't; it's likely because you are tolerating your current lifestyle instead of taking a stance for the life you want.
Once I stoped tolerating these nagging pains, I took the steps needed to experience the pain-free life I desired. Ramadan 365 is a food freedom program. This means "Ramadan 365" is NOT:
â A weight-loss program
â An intermittent fasting program
â A juicing/cleanse program
â An exercising/cardio program
â A calorie-counting / macro-counting program
â A starvation dieting program
"Ramadan 365" is a program that will help you detach from food as a reward for working hard or a consolation when things are difficult.
So what happens when you attain food freedom?
â
You feel better
â
You no longer have guilt around food
â
Your life improves dramatically in other areas because your energy is no longer drained with all the things you used to tolerate.
â
You achieve more because you prove to yourself that you can overcome something as massive as food
oh, and you might release some weight as a byproduct of living free of food dependency. This was me about 2 years ago at 230lbs and then last Eid at 175lbs once I achieved food freedom.
