As salamu Alaykum!
Welcome to the final lesson in this course. You’re at Day 5 of The Love, Money and Purpose Blueprint.
Today we’re talking about Mistake #5: Labeling Yourself with Unhelpful Identities
Specifically:
- Why you end up putting yourself in a box.
- How it keeps you stuck in a life that feels unsatisfying, and you don't even know why.
- The mindset shift that helps you start living without limits.Â
Let’s dive in.Â
Â
THE MISTAKE: LABELING YOURSELF WITH UNHELPFUL IDENTITIES
I know you have a big dream for your life.
A life that expands you, inspires you, and ultimately, supports exactly who you desire to be. Deep down, you know you were made for more. But something stands in the way. You just can't seem to break through to the next level of abundance, fulfillment, and purpose, no matter how hard you try. You can be harsh on yourself—you judge, compare, and punish yourself, sometimes without even realizing it.
You're highly intellectual, and you've probably already tried years of therapy, read a hundred self-help books, downloaded manifestation programs, and even explored human design—but somehow, it still feels like something is missing.
All of this is a sign of a fractured relationship with yourself and with Allah.
The truth is: it’s not about doing more, it’s about allowing more.
So what's really happening here? Let me explain.
Â
THE REASON THIS HAPPENSÂ
Here's what's really going on: You've internalized fixed often negative messages about yourself and mistaken them for facts.
Maybe your family always called you "the lazy one" or "not the smart one." Or perhaps you are “the successful one” or “the helpful one. ” Positive or negative doesn’t matter the label once internalized holds your hostage.Â
Over time, these labels became your inner voice. You started making decisions based on a limited, fixed, false identity- instead of the expansiveness of who Allah created you to be.
The problem isn't your faith or your effort - it's that you're operating from a distorted self-image. You're asking Allah for limited things because you believe you're limited. You're playing it safe because you believe you are defined by what is possible for your label.
You're stuck because your beliefs about yourself, Allah, and what's possible are keeping you confined to a narrow box.
This shows up in many ways:
Humility becomes self-negation: Humility gets distorted into denying yourself. Instead of humility being a recognition of Allah's greatness, it becomes an excuse to stay small with limited goals. You tell yourself stories that keep you safe but unfulfilled.
Fractured relationship with Allah: This fractured relationship with yourself eventually spills into how you view Allah SWT. You start to believe He won't support you in your bigger dreams.
Allah SWT didn't create you to shrink. He created you to thrive, to expand, to walk in your fullest expression of His gifts.
Â
HOW TO FIX IT
You have the power, with Allah's help, to shift what feels impossible.
When you release the labels, you'll begin to see yourself as Allah already sees you: whole, capable, and worthy of abundance, love, and purpose. Trust Allah over your fears. If something doesn't happen, let it be because Allah didn't will it, not because you stood in your own way.
No one else can do this inner work for you, but no one else has to.
Here are some practical tips to get started:
Expand what you go after. Give yourself permission to dream beyond what feels "reasonable." When you pursue bigger goals, you honor Allah by using what He gave you.
Change your self-image. Stop identifying with the labels that keep you small. You are not "lazy," or "undeserving." You are a limitless creation of Allah. Whether you absorbed these labels from family or gave them to yourself, it's time to shun them. These labels are just names we use when we don't know what the real, core issue is. Start releasing them now.
Reframe humility. True humility isn't about shrinking yourself. It's about recognizing that everything you have comes from Allah, and then using those gifts for good. Your blessings are meant to benefit the whole world.
If you're reading this, I know you're ready for more. More peace. More joy. More expansion. More of what Allah already destined for you.
It's time to release the labels and live the life you were made for. Is it better to live truly in your power, or continue to spin the wheels, hoping one day, you will figure it out? You tell me.
And there you have it.
